21 n.m. SE of Kuwait City.

Deep Water Departure Channel
Length 28 n.m. It extends from the Sea Island Terminal to Madira Reef and is marked by 20 lightbuoys and two light beacons, one established on Taylor Rock and the other on Madira Reef. Madira Reef Light Vessel has been repositioned further to the east and renamed Ahmadi Lightbuoy, and fitted with a Racon. Water depth 27.7–30.5 m. Two shallow patches, one 9 n.m. from Sea Island with a minimum depth 27.7 m. and the second 14 n.m. from Sea Island with depth 28.0 m. Vessel may use north and south TSS routes for arrival and departure.
Buoys A1, B1 and C1 mark the submarine pipeline from shore to North Pier.
